Our verdict. 911 Restoration is worth a call if you live inside one of its six Florida service areas. It advertises a 45-minute response, offers free visual inspections to homeowners, and says its estimators work in Xactimate. The Florida branches we checked carry A+ BBB grades with no complaints on file, and several of them share the same principal. The weak spots are the franchise model, unpublished prices and a public record too thin to judge, with even the brand's own location counts ranging from 124 to more than 300. Take the free inspection, then get a second written estimate from an independent IICRC-certified restorer before a large job, and read the work authorization for any assignment of benefits.

We have not hired 911 Restoration, and nobody at BestHonestPro has. This review is research: its consumer website and Florida branch pages, its franchise website, a 2025 press release, franchise industry data, Better Business Bureau files for three Florida branches, Trustpilot, an editorial ranking, published cost guides and the Florida statute on assignment of benefits. We read patterns across complaints rather than quoting single angry customers, and we left out anything we could not trace to a source.

We have not called 911 Restoration for a test quote yet. When we do, what we asked and what they said will be added here with the date.

What 911 Restoration is

911 Restoration is a privately held restoration franchise that started in the Los Angeles area. Its consumer site says it has operated since 2003, and its franchise site dates the franchise to 2007. Founder Idan Shpizear is still involved, and Miri Offir is CEO. It handles water damage, fire, mold, sewage, storm damage, reconstruction and biohazard cleanup.

Nobody agrees on how big it is. The consumer site says 124+ locations. A 2025 press release says more than 180. The franchise site says 300+, and Franchise Direct estimates 335 units. The gap is likely offices versus sold territories, but we could not confirm that. For you the practical question is simpler: is there a branch near your house?

The consumer site calls its offices locally owned. The business that comes to your house is a franchise, and your experience depends on that owner.

Read that first line carefully. 911 Restoration's range is a single national figure on its home page. It does not say how it was calculated, and it is not a rate for your branch. Your number is the written estimate.

We found no published figure for a trip fee or an after-hours charge. The inspection is free by the brand's account, so ask what the first paid step costs.

911 Restoration, your insurer and the Florida AOB rule

911 Restoration says it works with major insurance carriers, uses Xactimate-certified estimators, and runs what it calls a Claims Integrity Program, with pre-audited estimates and direct contact with your adjuster. That can make a claim easier to reconcile. It is still the company's own description. Ask to see the estimate yourself before work goes past emergency drying.

The Florida rule to know before you sign. For any residential property policy issued on or after 1 January 2023, Florida law says you may not assign your post-loss insurance benefits to a contractor. If your policy is older and still allows it, an emergency-services assignment is capped at the greater of $3,000 or 1% of your dwelling coverage, and you can cancel it within 14 days. Read the work authorization for any wording that assigns benefits or lets the company deal with your insurer in your place.

911 Restoration in Florida

Its service-area page lists six Florida branches: Miami, West Palm Beach, Orlando, Tampa Bay, Naples/Fort Myers and the Emerald Coast. The Miami branch operates from Sunrise and covers Miami-Dade, Broward, Palm Beach and St. Lucie counties. The Fort Myers branch operates from Lehigh Acres and covers Lee, Charlotte, Sarasota and DeSoto counties. We found no branch for Jacksonville, Gainesville or Tallahassee. If you live there, this brand is probably not an option.

One thing the website does not tell you: on their BBB files, the Sunrise, Orlando and Tampa companies list the same principal, who is also named at the West Palm Beach company. Several Florida branches appear to share one ownership group. That is not a problem in itself, but it means a complaint in one city may reach the same people as a complaint in another.

The BBB files show Florida licences CGC1518776 (general contractor) and MRSR69 (mold remediator) for the Sunrise company, and MRSR69 for the Tampa company. We have not checked these with the Florida DBPR, so treat them as shown, not verified.

The complaint record, read fairly

The Florida files look clean, but they are small. 911 Restoration, Inc. in Sunrise is graded A+ and is BBB accredited, with an average of 4 of 5 across only three customer reviews. The Orlando and Tampa companies are graded A+, are not accredited, and show zero complaints in three years.

Seven reviews is too few to call a trend, and we found no ConsumerAffairs profile for the brand. The negative ones are about unfinished repairs, property damaged during the job and a final bill far above the quote. The positive ones are about fast arrival and help with the insurer. The brand's own site claims a 4.9 system-wide Google average. We could not check that figure. The Forbes Home score is the publisher's own judgement, not a customer average.

Official actions. We found no Attorney General action, regulator settlement or class action against 911 Restoration or its Florida branches as of this review. The franchisor and individual branches appear as parties in ordinary civil suits, as any company this size does. We did not treat those as findings.

Who it suits, and who should compare

A good fit: a water loss inside one of its six Florida service areas, when you want someone on site fast and a free look before you commit to anything.

Get a second estimate: any large or disputed claim, anyone outside those areas, and any job where the written estimate lands well above the free inspection's first impression. Ask an independent IICRC-certified restorer for a written estimate too. If there is mold, Florida requires a licensed mold assessor and a licensed remediator, and the same company may not do both on your house within 12 months. See mold after a leak.

Ask these on the phone, in this order, and ask the same questions of whoever you compare them with. The spread in the answers tells you more than the spread in the prices.

Which company owns this branch, and where is your nearest office to my house?
The inspection is free. What is the first thing I pay for, and is there an after-hours charge?
Does anything in this contract assign my insurance benefits? My policy was issued on (date).
Can I see the Xactimate line-item estimate before work goes past emergency drying?
Will I get daily moisture readings, drying logs, photos and an equipment count?
What is your Florida mold remediator licence number (it starts with MRSR)? If you repair the pipe too, what is the plumbing licence (it starts with CFC)? Check both free on the DBPR site.
If my insurer pays less than your invoice, who owes the difference, and is there a written warranty?
