Our verdict. Z PLUMBERZ is a young franchise backed by BELFOR Franchise Group, a large franchisor, and it makes clear pricing promises: no trip fee, and options and prices before any work. In Florida it is thin, with three locations (Jupiter, Palm Beach and Tampa Bay), and the Florida offices are new, so there is little public record to judge them on. What exists is clean: the Jupiter office is BBB accredited with no complaints. Call it if you are in its service area, and get a second written quote from a licensed local plumber for any big job.

Its FAQ says there is no trip fee and that you get options and pricing before any work.

Where to be careful

Only three Florida locations. Most of the state, including Orlando, Miami and Jacksonville, has none.
No published prices, and the FAQ mentions a minimum service charge without giving the amount.
The Florida offices are new (Jupiter opened in late 2024), so there is very little track record.
It is a plumber only. Its pages do not offer water damage drying or mold work.

We have not hired Z PLUMBERZ, and nobody at BestHonestPro has. This review is research: its own website, FAQ, location list and Florida location pages, BELFOR Franchise Group's brand history, franchise industry sources (Sharpsheets, the International Franchise Association), Better Business Bureau files for its Jupiter office and two out-of-state offices, a national cost guide, and searches of consumer review sites and public records for lawsuits or state actions. We read patterns across complaints rather than quoting single angry customers, and we left out anything we could not trace to a source.

We have not called Z PLUMBERZ for a test quote yet. When we do, what we asked and what they said will be added here with the date.

What Z PLUMBERZ is

Z PLUMBERZ is a plumbing, drain and sewer franchise run by BELFOR Franchise Group, based in Ann Arbor, Michigan. BELFOR Franchise Group was formed in 2007 and runs 15 brands, among them 1-800 WATER DAMAGE, Chem-Dry and DUCTZ. Every page on the Z PLUMBERZ site says each location is independently owned and operated.

The history and size do not agree. BELFOR Franchise Group's own history says Z PLUMBERZ was formed in 2019. Sharpsheets says it was founded in 2007 and acquired by BELFOR in 2020, and counts 38 units as of 2024. The brand's own location list shows about 30 locations today. A 2025 industry release says more than 16 new territories launched that year, and several existing locations changed owners in 2025. We could not confirm one current count.

What Z PLUMBERZ charges

Z PLUMBERZ does not publish a price list, and we found no cost guide (Angi, HomeGuide, Forbes Home, This Old House) that reports Z PLUMBERZ prices. Its FAQ does say how pricing works: it gives options, recommendations and pricing before any work, charges no trip fee for a service call but has a minimum service charge, says there are no hidden fees on after-hours calls, and explains its warranties on your receipt. Financing is offered through Wisetack. It does not say whether night or weekend rates are higher.

Z PLUMBERZ in Florida

Florida presence is thin. The location list shows three Florida offices: Jupiter, Palm Beach (based in Boynton Beach, serving Boca Raton, Delray Beach, Lake Worth, West Palm Beach, Coral Springs and nearby) and Tampa Bay (serving Tampa, Brandon, Riverview, Lutz, Oldsmar, Seffner and nearby). Orlando, Miami, Jacksonville, Southwest Florida and the Panhandle have none.

The Palm Beach page shows plumbing licence CFC1428482 and lists leak detection and slab leak repair by epoxy pipe lining. The Jupiter BBB file shows licence CFC1433232 and a start date of 29 October 2024. The Tampa Bay page shows no licence number. We have not checked these numbers with the Florida DBPR, so treat them as shown, not verified.

The complaint record, read fairly

There is no single BBB file for the brand, because each location has its own. The files we read are small, which is what you would expect for offices this new.

The Jupiter BBB grade rests mainly on how short a time the business has operated, not on a long history. The Downriver complaint was about a sump pump repair the customer says was never put right. That office changed owners in 2025. We found no lawsuit, Attorney General action or settlement involving the brand.

Who it suits, and who should compare

A good fit: a leak, clog or slab leak in Palm Beach County or the Tampa Bay area it serves, when you want no trip fee and a price before work starts.

Compare first: anywhere outside those areas, any large job such as a repipe or sewer replacement, and any time water has soaked floors or walls, since drying out is a separate trade. See slab leaks, what a repipe costs and drying out after a leak.

What to ask before you say yes

Ask these on the phone, in this order, and ask the same questions of whoever you compare them with. The spread in the answers tells you more than the spread in the prices.

Which Z PLUMBERZ office is this, who owns it, and how long has it operated here?
What is the minimum service charge, and is it credited toward the repair?
Is there a higher rate tonight or this weekend?
What is your Florida plumbing licence number (it starts with CFC)? Check it free on the DBPR site.
Will I get the price in writing before work starts, and what warranty comes with this repair?
For a slab leak: will you show me the leak test results, and what are the options besides pipe lining?
If water got into walls or floors, who do you refer for drying, and does that company hold a Florida mold licence (it starts with MRSR)?
